We are a third generation local Oahu service. Pets are very important members of our family and when we moved between rental homes we noticed how few landlords actually rent to responsible pet owners. Getting rid of our dogs and cats was not an option! In response we organized a large network of real estate agents, property managers, and families with rental properties that make up the network today. We have been helping families successful find rentals/apartments in Oahu for over 10 years. The site was started out of a love for helping people with pets who had trouble finding pet friendly rentals. You should know that as a subscriber, we'll always work hard to make sure you get a broad assortment of pet friendly listings in and around Honolulu, and all over Oahu, Hawaii. We understand pets are part of your family too and continuously fight the discrimination toward pets and search for new homes so that you can be one of the first to know about new homes on the market. We do all the searching for you so that you can spend more time actually seeing homes in person.

I, too, found a place almost right away thanks to your listings. I signed up with your service on Monday and found the perfect townhouse they same day. I signed the paperwork yesterday (Tuesday).
For 43 days I conducted daily searches of 15 different web sites, including Star Bulletin, Honolulu Advertiser and Rentals Illustrated. I called nearly every ad listed in the area to see if they would allow my Dachshund, Gipper. To my surprise, the answer was "NO". When all hope was lost, I called 371-0350. Q: How much does it cost?
A: Our best program for new customers is the one month subscription. For only $50 per month (non-reoccurring) you'll receive an initial batch of over 100 recently listed pet friendly properties. Your first list will arrive within 24 hours of contacting a representative. In addition, you'll receive updated lists each day, for the next 30 days, delivered to your email in box. It typically takes 2-3 weeks from the time you start your search till you find the perfect property you can call home.
We also offer a one week introductory subscription for $25 per week . This trial program includes the same initial list of 100 properties, but you'll only receive updates for the next 6 days. Typically, our weekly subscribers will receive over 200 pet friendly listings during the term of their subscription.
Either subscription can be extended by taking advantage of our 20% renewal discount link.
Q: When do you update the rental lists?
A: Our lists are updated daily, seven days a week. The first list is typically available by noon, local time, and you may receive several update emails throughout the day as new listings come in. If for some reason you don't receive a list by noon just send us an e-mail, or give your local representative a call. Please note that some email systems may block mail from an unknown sender. To avoid delays or lost mail, please check your "Junk Mail" folder and be sure to add firstname.lastname@example.org as a safe sender.
Q: What if I don't receive my list?
A: If its been more than 24 hours since you signed up, or since you received your last list, and its after noon local time, please call or e-mail your local office. Technical issues that prevent the delivery of our Rental List, to the address you've provided, are often beyond our control. If we receive notice that our mail has bounced back, we'll be glad to resend any emails you missed, but no refunds are available. Please note that some email systems may block mail from an unknown sender. To avoid delays or lost mail, please check your "Junk Mail" folder and be sure to add email@example.com as a safe sender.
Q: Where do you get your listings?
A: This site actively gathers its pet friendly listings from a variety of sources. Typical listings come from: private owners, newspapers, Internet web sites, MLS (Multiple Listing Service), Property managers, Real-estate agents, etc. We search every available resource, daily, and consolidate them for your convenience.
Q: What types of properties do you list?
A: The properties that we list range from single rooms to studios, apartments, duplexes, condominiums, townhomes, and single family houses. The site has listings for unfurnished, partly furnished or furnished rentals, giving you a wide variety to choose from!! Check out the sample list by clicking here.
Q: How many properties are available?
A: The site is constantly updating our database of pet friendly rental properties. Our database has over 10,000 pet friendly property owners who list with the site however rental properties with current vacancies will vary depending on market trends and conditions. Typically, our subscribers will receive over 400 pet friendly listings each month.
Q: What if I don’t find a place during my subscription?
A: In the unlikely event that you don't find a place that suits you during the term of your initial subscription, we offer a reduced price subscription renewal, use the link provided to take advantage of the 20% renewal discount.
Q: What if I find a place on the first day or anytime before my subscription expires? Can I get a refund?
A: Congratulations. We’re glad the service was able to help you find a home. Please spread the word and tell your friends how helpful our lists were. Unfortunately, we do not provide refunds for any unused portion of your subscription. For more information, the current subscription agreement is available via the User Agreement page on this site.
Q: What is the subscription agreement?
A: The subscription agreement outlines the entire agreement between you, the subscriber, and the site. By submitting payment you automatically indicate acceptance of the terms and conditions of the current Subscription Agreement. Q: What if I have an Exotic (Non-Traditional) pet?
A: Many cities, and most landlords, have very strict rules banning exotic animals. The Rental Hot Sheet lists properties that allow traditional pets such as Dogs, Cats, Fish and gerbils. Please realize that if you own an exotic your rental search may take longer, and you may not be able to live in the area you'd like to. Subscribers are encouraged to disclose and discuss exotic pets with prospective landlords prior to signing a lease, and/or signing up for the service.
Q: What if I have multiple pets?
A: Many cities, and most landlords, have very strict rules about multiple pets. The Rental Hot Sheet lists properties that typically allow one or two pets at most. Please realize that if you have multiple pets your rental search may take longer, and you may not be able to live in the area you'd like to. Subscribers are encouraged to disclose and discuss the number and type of pets with prospective landlords prior to signing a lease, and /or for the service.
By using our online fee-based products or offerings you agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Subscription Agreement and Terms of Service Agreement. We reserve the right to change, modify, add or remove provisions for this agreement at any time.
Terms and Conditions of Service:
Your subscription is for 30 continuous days of the daily Rental Hot Sheet delivered directly to the email provided. Your subscription will not automatically re-new, we will provide you with a 20% discount to add more time to your service.
Unless otherwise specified, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to receive and print the Rental Hot Sheet and access, use and display this Website and the material provided hereon, that you subscribe to, for your personal, noncommercial use, provided that you comply fully with the provisions of this Agreement. You agree not to share the data contained on your Rental Hot Sheet or assign, transfer or sublicense your rights as a registered user of, or subscriber to, this Website and/or our subscription or fee based services.
By using this Website and/or our subscription/fee based services, you agree to be legally bound and to abide by this Agreement, just as if you had signed this Agreement. We reserve the right to cancel or terminate your password, user account, and/or access to this Website (or any part thereof) and/or our subscription/fee based services. In our sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, we may discontinue, modify or alter any aspect of the Website or our subscription/fee based services, including, but not limited to, (i) restricting the amount of use permitted (ii), restricting the time the Website and/or a subscription/fee based services is available, and (iii) restricting or terminating any user's right to use the Website and/or any of our subscription/fee based services. You agree that any termination or cancellation of your access to, or use of, the Website and/or our subscription/fee based may be effected without prior notice. All third party information available through the Service is protected by copyright or other intellectual property laws. You may display, print and transmit information obtained through the Service only for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, retransmit, distribute, store in a retrievable device, disseminate, sell, publish, broadcast or circulate the information obtained through the Service without the express written consent of our site. All other information provided by this site is the copyrighted property of our site. Your use of this information is limited to you alone under the terms of this agreement. As a subscriber you agree to:
Keep all pet-friendly rental information, confidential.
Not use any information obtained through the Service for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
Use a valid credit card (or other form of payment that may be available at the time).
Pay for these fees which may include one time fixed fees, monthly recurring fees and other applicable taxes and charges.
Be responsible for all charges and fees associated with connecting to our Website.
Provide us with true, accurate and complete information during the sign-up including your legal name, address, e-mail address, phone number and billing information.
Upon reasonable advance notice we reserve the right to increase charges and fees, or to institute new charges or fees. We will automatically charge your credit card or your account at the start of your renewal period unless you terminate or cancel your subscription before the relevant renewal period begins. In the event that we cannot charge your account, we reserve the right to terminate your access. If you purchased a discounted or prepayment plan and are no longer eligible for that rate, you will automatically be renewed at our standard subscription rate and period.
Transfer, Cancellation or Termination of your Subscription and Refund Policy:
Except as described herein, your subscription is not transferable to, or usable by, another person, business or other entity without our consent.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. This can be done either by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or by leaving a message at 808-371-0350. We process cancellation requests within 48 business hours after we receive them. Once you have canceled your service you will not be billed for future periods and you will need to reactivate your service to gain access to future email lists.
Due to the nature of our service, and because our list provides a minimum of 70 pet friendly properties to all new subscribers, and considering the large amount of upfront work that is done by our staff to collect the data and process your subscription, , there are no refunds.
Our Subscription and/or fee based services may be limited based on set criteria that we establish from time to time and/or at our own discretion. For example individuals under the age of 18, and competitors, may not subscribe to our subscription and fee based services. Licensed Realtors and real Estate Professionals may subscribe to this service as a tool to assist their clients in locating pet friendly rentals.
Rental Fraud Disclaimer
While the vast majority of rental home listings published by this site are legitimate, our subscribers should be aware that certain individuals could post rental home listings for the sole purpose of scamming potential renters. Landlords, Owners, Realtors and Property Managers should be equally aware that certain individuals may contact you, or express an interest in leasing a rental home from you, for the sole purpose of scamming the landlord or property manager.
When using the Daily Rental Hot List or this web site, you should always exercise caution and common sense. You can help protect yourself by learning more about how the service operates and taking the precautions outlined below. If a rental listing or potential tenant seems suspicious or a transaction seems "too good to be true", it probably is.
Deceptive E-Mails & Claims
This site is a rental listing aggregator and merely acts as forum in which potential renters can search listings of houses for rent and contact landlords to discuss the specifics of the rental home, arrange for a showing, and/or possibly enter into an agreement to lease the rental home. All transactions are between renters and landlords. Be aware that this site never participates in transactions between renters and landlords. Specifically, we do not lease rental homes or collect payments or deposits for rental homes. Finally, given the nature of our service, you should be aware that we do not and cannot verify the authenticity or legitimacy of any renter, landlord or property advertised for rent.
Advice for Renters
Avoid ads that are "too good to be true." Ads for rental homes in big cities such as New York with rents significantly below market value are almost always lures used by scam artists. Check other listings in the general area and see what the going rates for rental homes are before responding.
Always see the rental home in person before sending any money or providing personal information such as your social security number, even if it's just to fill out an application. Under no circumstances should you do business with an overseas landlord unless you have personally verified their identity and that they actually own the rental home advertised.
Dealing locally is best. The safest way to deal is in person and face to face. Be wary if the prospective landlord only wants to communicate via e-mail. Be more wary if the landlord is currently out of the country or resides overseas or far from where the rental home is located. Be extremely wary if the landlord flat out refuses to talk on the phone or claims they cannot talk on the phone.
Exercise extreme caution before wiring deposits or rent payments using Western Union or MoneyGram, especially to foreign countries. Sending money in any form overseas will likely result in losing all of it. Western Union and MoneyGram are very popular for Internet scams because the funds are available instantly, untraceable and worldwide.
Scan any attachments from landlords with anti-virus software before opening. One of the latest scams involves a "landlord" e-mailing an unsuspecting renter additional photos of the rental home for lease. However, one or more of the e-mail attachments contains a virus that can fool your Web browser to make it appear as though you're going to a legitimate site but in fact are being sent to a site controlled by the scammer. The best way to protect yourself is by using commercial anti-virus software, keeping it up to date and by scanning all e-mail attachments before opening or double-clicking them. Commercial Web-based e-mail services such as Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail provide virus-scanning services free of charge.

The State of Hawaii requires all landlords of short- and long-term rentals have a tax identification number. Check the state Department of Taxation web site and search the tax licenses ensure that a potential landlord is registered.
